How do I sync my Samsung Health data on Android?

The app reads your Samsung Health data through Health Connect, Google's on-device health data hub. You enable the Samsung Health to Health Connect sync once, and all supported data types flow in automatically.

One-time setup:
1. Install or open Health Connect (built into Android 14+, or download from Google Play for Android 9-13)
2. Open the Samsung Health app, tap the menu (three lines), then Settings, then Health Connect
3. Toggle Sync with Health Connect on, then tap App permissions or Data to share and enable every category you want to share (Steps, Heart Rate, Sleep, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Weight, Nutrition, Hydration, Exercise, etc.)
4. Open the app, go to More, then Integrations, then Health Connect
5. Grant read permissions for each data type when prompted

Supported data types from Samsung Health:
Steps, Distance, Active and Total Calories, Floors Climbed, Exercise Sessions, Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Resting Heart Rate, SpO2, Respiratory Rate, Sleep Sessions and Stages, Skin Temperature, Weight, Body Fat, Body Water, Lean Body Mass, Height, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Hydration, Nutrition, and Menstruation. Availability depends on your Samsung device and whether you wear a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring.

Not sent to Health Connect by Samsung Health:
Stress score, VO2 max, ECG readings, continuous glucose streams, and cycle predictions stay inside Samsung Health and cannot be read through Health Connect.

If data is not appearing:
1. Confirm Samsung Health is version 6.22 or later
2. Check that the Samsung Health to Health Connect toggle is on and each data category is individually enabled
3. Open the app, pull to refresh on the Integrations screen, then wait 1-2 minutes
4. Historical backfill can take up to 30 days depending on Samsung Health's retention window

The app never connects to Samsung Health directly. Samsung Health writes to Health Connect on your device, and the app reads from Health Connect with your permission.
